I've reviewed a lot of stores who signed up for JSON-LD for SEO Plus+. One simple SEO issue that I've seen a few times now is missing title tags.
A title tag is the title of the webpage. It's one of the most important parts of every page and every page should have one.
You can see part of your title tags by looking at the tab in your browser. If you hover your mouse on it for a second, you'll see the full one.
Google uses the title tag as a major ranking factor and as the title of that page in the search results.
But time and time again I see Shopify stores missing it completely, either due to a bad theme, a bad app install, or just by forgetting to set them correctly.
Shopify comes with tools built-in to edit the page titles so adding them should be a quick fix. look for the Edit website SEO section at the bottom of the products, pages, and blog posts in the Shopify admin.
Take a few minutes today and make sure your most important pages have a title tag and that they make sense.
Check your homepage, popular products, and any landing pages you have that get a lot of traffic.
Another great optimization is to make sure your product's structured data is setup correctly for Google's Rich Snippets. With those you'll get more traffic and better converting traffic.
You can either audit your store's structured data by hand or install JSON-LD for SEO and have all the structured data you need.
It's already helping over two thousand Shopify stores with their structured data and it could help you too.
