New release: custom analysis start date

The longer your store is around, the more it changes. Your store this year is likely to be vastly different than how it operated five years ago, and in another five years from now.

The problem is, a lot of historical metrics don't take those changes into account. They'll see the results of the shifts but they can't tell them apart from regular optimizations.

That's why I'm happy to announce the addition of a custom start date to Repeat Customer Insights.

Now you're able to select a date in the app that acts as a start date for the analyses.

By configuring the start date the system will add a new date range to your analyses. That means if you set it to, say January 2020 then you'll have a set of analyses specifically for January 2020 through today. The All-time period is still around too if you want to compare how all of your customers performed as well as any date-specific analyses from before (e.g. year of 2019).

Shopify stores on the current Entrepreneur, Growth, and Peak plans have access to the start date in the app right now. You just need to go to the Analysis Settings and configure your start date.

Legacy plans won't have access to this start date but you can upgrade at any time (and get other new features too).

If you're already using Repeat Customer Insights I hope this new start date gives you better insights into how your store is performing in modern times.

If you're not a customer yet, there's a demo version with sample data you can poke around or you can sign-up for the 14-day free trial.
